Pharrell Williams saw out the year 2013 with his third UK number one single of the year, Happy, knocking X Factor winner Sam Bailey into second place. Pharrell, earlier on topped the charts with Daft Punk’s Get Lucky and Robin Thicke’s Blurred lines, with writing credits on both. It unseated last week’s number one by X Factor star Sam Bailey. Swedish DJ Avicii’s Hey Brother, Jason Derulo’s Trumpets and The Monster by Eminem and Rihanna completed the top five in this week’s singles chart.
